Arsenal Appraisal began in 1997 as Arsenal Property & Appraisal. Since that time, Arsenal has grown to a staff of 11 appraisers plus support personnel. In November of 2000, the Laurinburg branch office of Arsenal Appraisal was opened. Jeff Hoglen manages this branch. Burlington was the site of our next office in July 2001. Khaliq Qayumi is the manager at that location. Joe Mathews has recently opened a branch office in West End to meet the needs of our Moore and Montgomery County customers. Our large coverage area and consistent quality and turnaround make Arsenal Appraisal the first call for appraisals in central North Carolina.

Why “Arsenal”? Fayetteville was the home of the historic U.S. Arsenal in the 1800’s. This arsenal was one of the most important military installations in the South at that time. In 1861, the Confederate States government took over the arsenal and used it to support the war effort through the manufacture of cartridges and the famous “Fayetteville Rifle”. In 1865, Fayetteville was invaded by Union troops and U.S. General Sherman ordered the destruction of the Fayetteville Arsenal. Today, the former arsenal site is the location of the Museum of the Cape Fear and Arsenal Park.
